Turkish president travels to Ghana
ISTANBUL (A.A) - Turkish President Abdullah Gul left for Ghana on Wednesday.
Turkish State Minister Faruk Nafiz Ozak, National Defense Minister Vecdi Gonul and Transportation Minister Mehmet Habip Soluk will accompany Gul during his tour which will cover Ghana and Gabon and end on March 26.
President Gul is set to meet President John Evans Atta Mills of Ghana in Accra, the first stop of his tour.
Gul will inaugurate Turkish embassy building in the capital city of Ghana.
On March 24, President Gul will proceed to Gabon to meet President Ali Ben Bongo Ondimba on March 25.
The Turkish president will attend business forum meetings to be held by the Confederation of Turkish Businessmen and Industrialists (TUSCON) both in Ghana and Gabon.
President Gul will be the first Turkish president ever visiting Ghana and Gabon formally.
Besides the bilateral relations, recent regional and global developments will be high on agenda of President Gul's talks.
