Turkish Protesters Back Iran Against West Policy

Ankara, Feb 5, IRNA - Hundreds of people opposed to the US, Zionist regime and NATO policies in a demonstration in Istanbul on Saturday voiced their solidarity with the Iranians. Carrying placards in support of the Iranian people, they staged a demonstration within tight security measures at Taghsim square. The placards read “Iranians are not alone”, “We stand by by Iranians”, “US threats against Iran, an instance of state terrorism” and “Death to US imperialism”. The majority of the protestors were within the age range of 20 to 25. The demonstrators finally issued a statement, harshly condemning the mounting pressure being exerted on Iran./end
