Turkish ship to bring 1,518 passengers to Turkey
ANKARA (A.A) - 25.02.2011 - Turkey's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Friday that TCK Iskenderun ship of Turkish Navy would bring 1,518 passengers to Turkey from Libyan city of Benghazi.
There are 1,091 Turkish nationals as well as 427 foreigners from 23 countries on board the ship.
The ship will leave Libya for the coastal town of Marmaris in western Turkey on Saturday.
According to unconfirmed reports, around 1,000 people have been killed in Libya since protests against Muammar Gaddafi's 42-year reign began last week.
