Turkish state minister says Turkey conducts attentive policy in its region
RABAT (A.A) - 02.03.2011 - Turkish State Minister Hayati Yazici said on Tuesday that Turkey conducted an attentive policy that was in line with its historical vision while carrying out its relations with the countries in its region.
Yazici, who arrived in the Moroccan capital of Rabat to attend the 9th term meeting of Turkey-Morocco Joint Economic Committee, got together with a group of Turkish entrepreneurs who are doing business in this country.
Speaking at the meeting, Yazici said commercial relations between Turkey and Morocco were not at the desired level.
The minister said that Turkish businessmen's investments in Morocco amounted to 240 million USD and the total value of the projects they had undertaken was around 2 billion USD.
"I hope we can increase such figures in line with our potential in the upcoming term," he said.
"We are conducting an attentive policy that is in accordance with our historical vision while carrying out our relations in this region. So far, we have seen that such stance has yielded to very positive results and we are determined to carry on with it," the minister added.
Commenting on his visit to Morocco, Yazici noted that he would hold talks with numerous ministers during his stay in the country.
Yazici said he would inform his Moroccan counterparts on the problems Turkish businessmen experienced in Morocco.
