UAE, Egypt win two-year membership to Arab Information Ministers' executive bureau

CAIRO, 13th July, 2017 (WAM) -- Egypt and the UAE have won a two-year term to the Executive Bureau of the Arab Information Ministers' Council after garnering 17 and 15 votes, respectively, in an election held during the 48th session of the Council in Cairo on Wednesday. Qatar secured only five votes. The Council also approved the formation of a bureau for the troika states Mauritania, Jordan and Saudi Arabia along with Sudan, Somalia and Iraq for two years.
