UB to host Asian Youth Council Assembly

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Minister of Population Development and Social Welfare S.Erdene MP called a press conference Thursday to inform that the XIII Asian Youth Council General Assembly will be held this May 18-21 in Ulaanbaatar. It will be co-organized by the Government and the Youth Union of Mongolia. The Assembly will bring together some 600 participants under a theme "One Asia 2015: Youth’s Role in future Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)", said the Minister. The gathered will be delegates of decision- and policy-makers, scholars from 23 countries. "The action's running in Ulaanbaatar has not only regional but also worldwide importance," he said. The business meeting, expected within the Assembly, aims to allow young businessmen to expand their collaboration, to share experiences and knowledge, and to study opportunities of social-economic sustainable development. This meeting is expected to bring together 200 Mongolian and foreign delegates from three main spheres--food and agriculture; light industry, and service sector. The Assembly will also host public discussions on the conclusions by the National Forum on Youth Development Renovation Policy and a "MongolianYouth" national program, added the Minister.
