US LASER system ineffective on Iran marine, drone capabilities
TEHRAN, April 13 (MNA) –Deputy Chairman of Iranian Armed Forces’ Chief of Staff said Armed Forces are resourceful in dealing with technological capabilities of Islamic Republic’s enemies.
Brig.Gen. Masoud Jazayeri, in reaction to recent remarks by the US Navy officials, said that the US has launched attempts to maintain their sovereignty over different parts of the world through military systems, “but these attempts through military means would not solve their problems in Persian Gulf or other regions in the long run.”
The US Navy officials announced that LASER systems had been installed on US military ships.
He believed that US presence in the region has been raising tensions in the region and pressures on sovereign nations. “The international community should decide resolutely to stop US excessive demands,” he emphasized.
Brig. Gen. Jazayeri rejected the possibility of any effect from such systems on Iranian defense capabilities such as drones and speed boats, saying that “installation of such systems has no relationship with limiting Iran’s defensive capabilities.” He commented on the different scenarios devised by Iranian Army to meet the US Navy new LASER systems.
“Iranian Army has devised different scenarios to face technological capabilities of Islamic Republic’s enemies,” he added.
