MOSCOW, April 24 (Itar-Tass) - Russia hopes that the United States will stop contrived allegations over Russia, including for joint work to resolve current crisis in Ukraine, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Thursday. “It is surprising that the U.S. strongly refusing to recognise the free expression of will of Crimean residents at the March 16 referendum has raised repeatedly the issue of observing rights and commercial interests of U.S. citizens living on the peninsula, but has not cited a single fact or just a name,” the ministry noted. “We are open for fair dialogue, but reject sweeping and groundless claims that pursue the only goal to present current situation in Crimea in the distorted way, by the way, similar tricks are also used to show “Russian connection” whatever the cost in protests among desperate residents in southeast Ukraine,” the Russian diplomatic agency noted.
