US Wants To Attack Syria To Help Zionists: Indian Body

New Delhi, Sept 8, IRNA – Washington wants to attack Syria to help its ally Israel, said apex Indian Muslim body, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH). “The US attack may further deteriorate the situation. Therefore the JIH is of the view that the US should not intervene,” said Moulana Syed Jalaluddin Umri, Ameer-e-Jamaat (National Leader of JIH) at a Press meet here. He said the attack will complicate the already volatile situation in Syria and might extend to a regional war which may be disastrous for the whole Middle East and would lead to economic destabilisation in the world on a large scale. Condemning the US attacks on Iraq and Afghanistan, he said both nations have become victims of permanent instability and witnessing daily blasts and killings of innocent people. He further noted that the Muslim countries have a big responsibility. They must protect Islamic democratic values in their home lands and should also unite to oppose every act of injustice and tyranny. The JIH also expressed his grave concern over the dismissal of popular and democratic government of Egypt and the unjust actions of the military.
