Uzbek president offers Putin to take joint measures against terrorists

MOSCOW, April 5. /TASS/. Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has offered Russian President Vladimir Putin to take strong measures together for the war on terror.
"I want to express condolences to the relatives and friends (of those killed in St. Petersburg’s metro blast). For all of us terror has no borders or nationality. This once again signals that we should take very harsh measures together on this," Mirziyoyev at the beginning of talks with Putin.
The Uzbek president, who is visiting Russia on April 4-5, said the terrorist attack in St. Petersburg is a pain for all people.
He also noted that all bilateral agreements reached were being implemented. "We have seriously stepped up trade and economic cooperation. Many our partners already meet, there is some result. A lot has been done in the cultural and humanitarian field," he said.
An unidentified explosive device went off on Monday afternoon on a subway train in St. Petersburg. The Russian Investigative Committee has labelled the blast a terrorist attack. According to the Russian Health Ministry’s latest casualty figures, the explosion left 14 people dead and 49 injured.
