Velayati: Syrian Nation Leaves Behind Security Crisis Created By Terrorists

Tehran, August 13, IRNA - Advisor to the Supreme Leader for international Affairs Ali Akbar Velayati said on Tuesday that the Syrian nation have successfully left behind the security crisis created by the terrorists. He said that all are now witnessing gradual return of calmness to the country. It seems that over 50 percent of the problems in Syria have been resolved, he said. Addressing a group of Syrian people, he said Syrian people are our friends and brothers and we do praise the resistance of their president to the terror groups. There is no doubt that such firm resistance without support of the Syrian nation was impossible, he said. He also congratulated them on consecutive successes of Syrian people in their struggles with their enemies and expressed the hope that the remaining problems would be resolved with reliance on the Syrian might. It is expected that the Syrian people to reconstruct their country and continue their powerful political life, he said. The Islamic Republic of Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Palestine are regarded as chains of the resistance movement to the Zionists and taking stand against Syria is tantamount to confronting Iraq, Lebanon and Palestine, Larijani said. Should there was no resistance and solidarity of these countries, the chains of resistance would be uravelled, he said./end
