VP: 16th NAM Summit, Good Opportunity For Iran

Tehran, Aug 15, IRNA – Vice President for Parliamentarian Affairs Lotfollah Forouzandeh said that the hosting of the 16th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit provides a historic opportunity for Tehran to promote its dialog based on justice and Islamic Awakening. Talking to IRNA, he said the realities of the Islamic Republic should be outlined during the meeting. He believed the NAM member states participating in the Tehran summit should be provided information on the existing confidence between people and the government in the Islamic system, progresses and achievements of the Iranian experts in nuclear arena and the real purposes of anti-Iran sanctions. Stressing the need for illuminating the true nature of bullying powers and the Zionist regime, he said if the NAM member states fail to unite and adopt a common dialog, the international hegemony will continue its evil approach. Saying that the meeting will be a good chance for member states to expand cooperation in political and economic areas, Forouzandeh noted that the meeting could be used to skirt sanctions./end
