Wall Construction Tantamount To Zionists’ Defeat: Iran Advisor

Islamabad, July 31, IRNA – Iran’s Senior Advisor to Parliament Speaker for International Affairs says that building of segregation wall by Zionists is violation of all international laws but shows that the Zionist regime has been defeated by oppressed Palestinians. Talking to the correspondent of IRNA in Pakistan, Hossein Sheikh-ul-Islam added that the countries of Middle East and independent nations in the world are against the occupation of Palestine by the Zionist regime and want the Zionists to vacate the holy land. He said that there are governments in the region that are not playing an active role for the cause of Palestine; however, ‘we are witnessing that the people of these Muslim states have stood up against the policies of their governments.’ Sheikh-ul-Islam believes the issue of Palestinian is one of the reasons behind the Islamic awakening movements in the Arab world. The Iranian official said that the dictators who were supporting the Zionist regime have been defeated by their own people, for example Hosni Mubarak who had backed the Zionists against the 33 day war on Lebanon and played an important role for implementation of US-Zionist regime’s plan of blocking the Gaza Strip. He said that blocking of Gaza Strip was an attempt to help Zionists in succeeding against oppressed Palestinians. Sheikh-ul-Islam strongly believed that the Zionist regime would not be able to get a supporter like Hosni Mubarak in the future. Iranian Parliament Speaker's Senior Advisor focusing on the conferences on the issue of Palestine said that the world is now coming close to the ideologies of the late Imam Khomeini (P). He said that Imam Khomeini (P) by following the true sprit of Islam and stressing upon the unity of Muslims managed to defeated a tyrant dictator. Hossein Sheikh-ul-Islam said that all Muslims by following the footsteps of Imam Imam Khomeini (P) could resist the aggression of Zionist regime and fight the imperialist forces. The Iranian official said that Islamic Revolution of Iran has been the source of inspiration behind the awakening movements in the Muslim world. He noted that Islamic awakening movement is getting stronger by the passage of each day. Expressing his views regarding International Al-Quds Day, he said that the day reminds all Muslims about the atrocities of Zionist regime against the oppressed people of Palestine. “On the day millions of people come on streets and raise voice against the illegitimate occupation of Palestinian land by Zionists. Hossein Sheikh-ul-Islam said that some time back that the Zionist regime was not as weak as today and had launched wars against Lebanon and Gaza strips. “Retreat of Zionists from south of Lebanon, Syria and Gaza shows that they are defeated,” he added. Iranian Advisor welcomed the Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi’s decision to end the blockage of Gaza strip and allowing free movement for Palestinians to Egypt. Hossein Sheikh-ul-Islam said that neighbors of Palestine can play a vital role for the liberation of Palestine especially Lebanon. “The role of Syria and Jordan cannot be ignored in this regards,” he said. The Iranian official said that the Islamic Republic of Iran thanks to the teachings of Imam Khomeini (P) and under the guidance of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has been raising a strong voice for the oppressed Palestinians. To a question he said that Pakistan was created under the name of Islam and Iran and Pakistan share common views on the issue of Palestine. He also said that conferences on Palestine cause would help in keeping the issue alive./end
