War veterans receive pecuniary awards

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On Friday, Population Development and Social Welfare Minister S.Erdene presented pecuniary awards to six war veterans. According to a government resolution stating the amount of money award for senior citizens, a total of one billion 50 million togrog had been budgeted to support 30 elderly persons. On Friday, each senior citizen was awarded 35 million togrog as a housing support, ahead of the upcoming Lunar New Year celebration. Last year, a total of 25 elderly and their families had received similar pecuniary awards amid the 68th anniversary of the Victory day in Great Liberation War of Russia (May 9) and the Naadam Festival of Mongolia (July 10-11).
