WEF 2014 STARTS IN DAVOS

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The 44th World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting kicked off Wednesday in Davos, Switzerland. Themed this year as "The Reshaping of the World: Consequences for Society, Politics and Business", the grand gathering has brought together State Heads, Prime Ministers of some 50 countries, and leaders of the largest corporations. Mongolia is being represented Mr Ts.Elbegdorj, the President of Mongolia, who is accompanied by Ch.Saikhanbileg MP, a head of the Cabinet Secretariat for Government; V.Purevdorj, the Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the UN Office and other international organizations in Geneva; P.Tsagaan, a head of the Presidential Office; N.Zoljargal, the president of the Bank of Mongolia; and L.Purevdorj, an advisor to the President on national security and foreign policy. The President of the Republic of Korea Ms Park Geun-hye gave a speech at the opening, followed by the Prime Minister of Japan Mr Shinzo Abe. The WEF meeting will continue until January 25.
