West making efforts to affect our foreign policy, culture: Keyhan

TEHRAN,July 7(MNA) – The Kayhan newspaper published an Op-Ed on its first page on Sunday criticizing people who are calling themselves “calm”. Recently a number of political figures held a meeting in Tehran under the title of “We Are Calm” in which they publicly expressed their support for the Iranian nuclear team negotiating with the world powers on Tehran’s nuclear program. The meeting was assumed to counter those who held a rally under the name of “We Are Concerned” to send the warning that country’s nuclear achievements maybe compromised in negotiations with the major powers. “The West is making efforts to affect our foreign policy, culture, and internal policy,” the article said. Economic sanctions are one of the most explicit animosities of the arrogant U.S. regime, the writer said, adding that despite such hostility toward Iran, certain people have made efforts to depict the U.S. government as a friendly and moderate administration.
