West yet to understand meaning of export of Iran’s revolution: Halbavi

TEHRAN, June 6 (MNA) - Kamal al-Halbavi, a former speaker for Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood, has said that Western countries have not yet understood the meaning of the export of Iran’s Islamic Revolution to the world. Halbawi made the remarks during a speech at a conference on the Islamic Awakening and the late Imam Khomeini’s movement, which was held at the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s Institute for Political and International Studies on Tuesday. The conference was held two days after the 23rd anniversary of the death of the late Imam Khomeini, the Founder of the Islamic Republic. During his speech, Halbawi said that certain Muslims first reacted negatively to the term “the export of the revolution,” but then came to realize that Iran’s revolution is awakening the Islamic ummah.
