Western Efforts To Undermine Iran Will Fail: Pakistani Scholar

Islamabad, July 22, IRNA -- A Pakistani religious scholar on Sunday categorically said that the western efforts to undermine the Islamic Republic of Iran will fail. Speaking to IRNA, Senior Vice President of Pakistan Awami Tehreek, Agha Murtaza Poya said that aggressive policies of imperialist forces in Iran, Pakistan and Syria have already been defeated. He said no doubt about that the American and Zionist regime's intelligence agencies are involved in the assassination of Iranian scientists. 'They only want to save the Al Saud and the Zionist regime,' he noted. In response to a question, Agha Murtaza Poya said that there is no other view to that the presence of foreign forces in the Middle East is dangerous for the security and stability of region. 'They have slaughtered millions of innocent people in Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria for the sake of the Zionist regime,' he regretted. 'But their efforts are in vain as the illegitimate state of Israel which is involved in the killings of innocent Palestinians is getting weaker day by day,' viewed the Awami Tehreek leader. Expressing his views, Agha Murtaza Poya said western states are not pursuing balanced policy and do not bother what the United Nations (UN), Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) say. 'They just want to show their power, human life has no value for them,' he said. Religious scholar believed that they (US) are following inconsistent policies because they (US) had supported former Iraqi dictator Sadam Hussein and then killed him, they made Taliban and now they are fighting a war against them. He said that they cannot tolerate that the Islamic Republic of Iran has become self-sufficient in all sectors and is progressing with a great pace. 'Iran has compelled other countries of the world to stand up against American arrogant policies,' said the religious scholar. Agha Murtaza Poya added Iran is playing an important role in international politics. 'Yes, Iran can guarantee security of Strait of Hormuz and western states should not be worried about the security of the oil supply route,' said the Awami Tehreek vice President. He said Iran is following the approach of steadfastness and every western effort to undermine Islamic Republic of Iran will fail. 'US soon will leave the region,' he said confidently./end
