World’s energy security is in Iran’s hands: IRGC chief

TEHRAN, June 25 (MNA) – The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) commander said the enemies are fully aware of Iran’s deterrence power including its control over the world’s energy security. Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari made the remarks in an interview to mark the Pasdar Week (IRGC Week). “The enemy has fully understood the Islamic Republic’s dominance over the global economy and the global economic and energy security,” Jafari said in an indirect reference to Iran’s control over the strategic Strait of Hormuz through which a fifth of the world’s oil flows.
