World was silent about chemical weapons attacks on Iran:Iranian general

TEHRAN,June 29(MNA) – Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Commander Mohammad Ali Jafari on Friday criticized the world’s silence on chemical weapons use by Saddam Hussein’s Baathist regime against civilians during the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war. Jafari’s remarks came in a message issued on the anniversary of the chemical bombardment of Sardasht, northwest Iran by Iraqi forces in June 1987, in which more than 110 people were killed.
