Zarif: Azerbaijani, Iranian, Russian presidents to meet in Baku

Baku, Azerbaijan, Apr.7 By Elmira Tariverdiyeva - Trend: Preparations are underway for a trilateral meeting of the Iranian, Azerbaijani and Russian presidents in Baku, Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif told reporters Apr. 7. He said the Iranian president will be glad to take part in the meeting. Further, touching upon today's meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov, Zarif said that they discussed cooperation in such spheres as aviation, maritime and railway transportation, as well as customs. The parties also discussed security issues, as well as the ways to fight terrorism and extremism, according to Iran's foreign minister. Azerbaijani, Iranian and Russian foreign ministers Elmar Mammadyarov, Mohammad Javad Zarif and Sergey Lavrov held a meeting in Baku Apr.7.
