The President Meets Iraqi Community In Britain, Confirms: Iraq Is Living In A New Phase

Baghdad / NINA / - The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, confirmed that Iraq is living in a new phase.

 

 A statement from his office stated that "Rashid met, on the sidelines of his visit to London, the Iraqi community, including representatives of civil society organizations, sects, parties and political actors in Britain.

 

 During the meeting, which was attended by First Lady Shanaz Ibrahim Ahmed, Ministers of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities Ahmed Fakak Al-Badrani, Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, Education Ibrahim Names Al-Jubouri, and Iraq’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom Muhammad Jaafar Al-Sadr, the President confirmed that Iraq is living in a new phase and there are many positives, including security and stability, which is the beginning of every development and peace process.

 

 He added, "The previous elections went through a long period, but their results were positive and beneficial, as they created a kind of agreement between the political blocs through dialogue, and now the Iraqi government is interested in providing services to society, and it has a complete program in all respects, and this is a new beginning for a new Iraq, in which we care by developing infrastructure and providing services, noting that the relationship between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government is very normal and there are some outstanding issues between the two sides, but there is a will to find solutions to them through the constitution and the law.

 

 The President of the Republic referred to "some important accumulations that remained with the new government, as the budget has not been approved for three years, and we have approximately (10) thousand or (15) thousand factories in Iraq, all of which have been closed since 2003, and this requires work effort, balance and encourage the private sector to work.

 

 The president talked about Iraq's relations with the world and neighboring countries and keenness to develop them, stressing the rejection of foreign interference, and that Iraq belongs to the Iraqis.

 

 Regarding Iraqi competencies abroad, the president explained that "there are many competencies, and we welcome those who wish to return to their country in order to provide services to their people and the atmosphere is appropriate, and there is room in Iraq to contain competencies."/ End
