The President Of The Republic Stresses The Need For Justice For All Yazidi Victims

Baghdad / NINA / - The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, stressed the need for justice for all Yazidi victims.

During his meeting with a delegation of Yazidi survivors today, the President stressed the need for justice for all Yazidi victims, by taking the necessary measures to compensate them, uncover the mass graves that contain the victims, and work hard to reveal the fate of the rest of the abductees, male and female, whose fate is still unknown, stressing the importance of implementing justice and prosecuting those involved in these massacres through cooperation between governmental and non-governmental agencies with the international community and taking revenge on the terrorist ISIS elements who committed the most horrific crimes.

He pointed out that the crime of exterminating the Yazidis has become a global issue, and efforts must continue to be intensified, especially with international organizations, in order to provide effective services that contribute to the return of all displaced Yazidis to their homes and cities, and to end their difficult human suffering, pointing to the importance of implementing the Sinjar Agreement and ensuring the return of security and stability to the city of Sinjar.

The President stressed the need to provide support and attention, especially after the approval of the general budget, to the Yazidi areas that have been subjected to criminal acts by ISIS gangs, noting that He is following up the issue of the Yazidis' return to their homes and the construction and reconstruction of their homes with government agencies and United Nations organizations on a regular basis and taking the decision to manage their areas by themselves.

For their part, the members of the delegation of the Yazidi survivors expressed their thanks and appreciation to the President of the Republic for his support and interest in the issue of the Yazidis, especially the women abducted by ISIS gangs.

The delegation presented to the President the latest developments in the file of the Yazidi survivors and abductees, whose fate is still unknown, as well as some issues and obstacles facing the Yazidis./ End
