Sabbagh made this statement on Wednesday during his meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Syria Mehdi Subhani in the Parliament building in Damascus.
He also condemned the repeated Israeli aggressions on Syrian territories which come as a desperate attempt to undermine Syria and Iran.
Ambassador Subhani, for his part, confirmed that Syria-Iran bilateral relationship is progressing towards more prosperity, calling for maintaining sustained action to enhance the cooperation prospects in various fields for further peace and stability in the two countries.
