“Children in nightly city”

Astana, August 16 2009, Khabar – Astana policemen carry out campaign on sending under age who came to night clubs without adults, home. They also explain city residents and guests of capital it s prohibited to drink beer in public places and transport. The new law came into force on August 2 and since that time over 100 administrative violations were revealed by the policemen. At first people will be warned and if they violate the law for three times, they will imprisoned for 15 days.

Yesenbai Batyrlan, head of department of public security of office of interior affairs of Astana:
- In the article 336 of Code of administrative violations word “strong drinks” was replaced by “alcoholic” because earlier such drink as beer was disputable. And now the article completely answers all the demands.

The policemen explained to girls under age that it is prohibited to visit night clubs without adults from 10 p.m. till 6 a.m. But the results of raid are distressing, it seems, neither teenagers, nor parents and owners of night clubs don’t know about the new law. Recently it was impossible to draw owners of clubs and careless parents to the responsibility and they hops from now on the situation will change and they will be drawn to the administrative responsibility.

Ainagul Kantarbayeva, Astana resident:
- I think it is right because I don’t want my children visited such places at night. I want them sitting at home, going in for sport or some circle.

According to the statistics, over 600 teenagers found themselves in center of seized teenagers.

Kuantai Omarbekov, head of center of seized teenagers in Astana:
- Firstly, we find out where they from, how they came there and search information about their parents. Then we carry out medical examination. When we find parents we control their documents if the children really their kids and then we pass teenagers to them.

“Children in nightly city” club is underway and policemen ask the parents to control with whom and where their children spend their leisure.
