Azerbaijani karate fighters reach final at World Combat Games

Baku, October 21 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijani karate fighters Rafael Aghayev weighing in at 75kg and Shahin Atamov at over 84kg have progressed to the final of the World Combat Games in St. Petersburg, Russia. On the way to the final, Aghayev defeated Egyptian, Dutch, American and German fighters. He will face Italian Luigi Busa at the final bout. Atamov also reached the final in Russia, after beating Moroccan and Italian rivals. Atamov will lock horns with Iranian Zebiullah Purshab to claim the gold.
