Bahrain- UNESCO cooperation discussed

Paris, Mar.15 (BNA): Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi held a meeting with United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Assistant Director General for Education Stefania Gianini and Higher Education Section Chief Dr. Peter Wells and discussed joint cooperation. The meeting was on the sidelines of the presentation of the UNESCO-King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa Prize for the Use of ICT in Education to the winners at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, France. The meeting was also attended by Bahrain Deputy Permanent Representative to the UNESCO, Cultural Attache in Paris Ahaikha Wafa Al-Khalifa. The minister shed light on th Al-Hedaya Al-Khaliya University project, being established in partnership between the public and private sectors, stressing the ministry’s need for the UNESCO expertise to promote world-standard academic programmes. UNESCO Assistant Director General for Education Stefania Gianini reieterted support to Bahrain in various areas, hailing the Kingdom’s efforts, particularly the Al-Hedaya Al-Khaliya University project.
