British conductor: I’d like to visit Gabala once again

Gabala, July 31 (AzerTAc). ‘I’d like to visit this amazing place Gabala once again,’ said British conductor Jan Lothem Konig, who is participating in the 5th Gabala International Music Festival. Konig said: ‘I had some idea it`s going to be such a beautiful festival because I have many friends from Azerbaijan in London. But I was not expecting such huge mountains, forests in this region. I did know about your food. I knew that Azerbaijan is very famous with its cuisine. Azerbaijani people have very traditional music. I think you have such unique music. I have to say your people are very natural.” “I had a fortune to conduct Jerusalem Symphonic Orchestra. I know how good they are. Their high quality not surprised me.” Konig hailed the organization of the festival: “I think if it continues to develop in this way with high quality music performances and very good marketing I think it could become an important fixture on the world festivals.”
