Center of Confucius Institute at BSU opened in Western University

Baku, April 5 (AzerTAc). Opening of center of the Confucius Institute (at the Baku State University) was held today in Western University. Speaking at the event, rector of the Western University Zemfira Mammadova spoke of importance of the document to be signed between the institutions. She said that the aim of the agreement is to stimulate and strengthen friendly relations, mutual understanding, as well as educational and cultural relations between Azerbaijan and China. Official of the Chinese Embassy in Azerbaijan Qu Min, Director of Confucius Institute in BSU Hu Fenghua, BSU pro-rector, prof. Aydin Kazimzade and others spoke about Azerbaijan-China relations, and hailed bilateral cooperation between the two states in various fields. An agreement on cooperation between Confucius Institute at the Baku state University and Chinese Language & Culture Center of the Western University was signed. The document was signed by Rector Z. Mammadova and Ms. Hu Fenghua.
