The rectors of these universities have signed a memorandum of cooperation on student exchange programs. “Ariel” has long been famous for its scientific developments in the area of bio- and nanotechnologies. There are state-of-the-art laboratories operating there including a brain centre, electrical engineering, molecular biology, physical therapy, seismic activity and even a robot research centre. World-renowned scientists including Nobel Prize winners work at the University centre.

Galymkar Mutanov, rector of D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan State Technical University:
- We have very important questions concerning cooperation in the area of nanotechnologies, receiving new constructional materials and biotechnologies. These aspects are topical for us and our republic. We hope that the signed agreements will be fulfilled and will pay off.

Michael Zinigrad, rector of Ariel University Centre of Samaria:
- We have a centre of material science where we study metallurgy, polymer materials, biomaterials, and construction materials. Green technologies and nanotechnologies are very advanced here and we really have to seize the opportunity that we speak the same language and we have a similar mentality and it would be wrong not to use this chance for cooperation.
