Eritrean Health Minister Hails Iranian Progress

Tehran, Dec 16, IRNA -- Eritrean Minister of Health Amna Nurhusein said on Saturday Iran has achieved a considerable development in economy, culture, social and health sectors. She made the remarks in a meeting with her Iranian counterpart Marzieh Vahid Dastjerdi. Pointing to her tour of a modern hospital in Tehran, Amna Nurhusein praised Iranian progress and said Iran has developed standards of health services. She pointed to Iran-Eritrea historical relations, calling for Iranian support for training, granting scholarships and organizing specialized workshops in Eritrea. The Eritrean minister expressed her country's interests in cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran in health studies and asked Iranian physicians to travel to Eritrea to transfer experience to their Eritrean colleagues./end
