German professor meets students of Baku Slavic University

Baku, March 18 (AzerTAc). Professor of Germany`s Wurzburg University and President of Oswald von Wolkenstein-Gesellschaft scientific society Sieglinde Hartmann and employee of the university Yorn Borkman have held a meeting with students of the Baku Slavic University (BSU). In the event, the German professor spoke about her activities in Azerbaijan. Hartmann is the coordinator of the “East and West in the medieval epic poems “Kitabi Dede Korgut” and “The Song of the Nibelungs” 10-year joint projects. The “East and West in the medieval epic poems “Kitabi Dede Korgut” and “The Song of the Nibelungs” joint project on comparative research of literary monuments of Azerbaijani and German peoples is a new page in the international relations of the BSU with the Universities and Educational-Cultural Centres abroad. The agreement on joint comparative research was signed in 2007 by the BSU represented by the Corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, Rector of the BSU Prof. Kamal Abdullayev and president of the Oswald von Wolkenstein – Gessellschaft scientific society Sieglinde Hartmann.
