Healthcare system development
Pavlodar, 18 December 2008, (Khabar) - On Independence Day, a new outpatient’s clinic opened in the Pavlodar region. This is the district’s first medical institution to treat people using the most up-to-date medical equipment. The polyclinic was built in accordance with European standards as it has spacious rooms and laboratories as well as comfortable furniture and convenient and brightly lit wards. Doctors there say that the interior conditions account for 50% of a successful treatment. Now, the outpatient’s clinic is able to receive up to 200 patients. Local doctors, who treat people living in the neighbouring villages, also said they had been waiting for this moment to happen for over 10 years. Previously, this medical institution was situated on an area which was 10 times smaller than the new one. The new centre’s equipment are very modern and up to date.
Yermek Syzdykov, radiologist:
- We are moving forwards thanks to progress. Now, we can make better x-ray photos with less radiation.
Bakhytzhan Sagyntayev, governor of Pavlodar region:
- The republic’s budget allocated over 1 billion tenge and all the money was well spent. We made sure no tenge was spent on anything else. I think it is of great help for the regions’ residents. I would like to thank the constructor who managed to commission the facility on time and built it so well.
