Industrial atom-smasher is launched
Semey, 1 January 2008, (Khabar) - On the eve of New Year the specialists of National nuclear center prepared their gift fro the country. In Kurchatov, industrial atom-smasher “ELV-4” is launched and it is created with the help of new technologies and special materials with given features. Industrial atom-smasher “ELV-4” is launched at the department of radiation technologies that is part of Kurchatov techno park. Researches of Novosibirsk Institute of Nuclear Physics elaborated this device and it cost $ 70 000. With the help of this device special polymeric small parts with given characteristics will be made and they will be used in exact machine and building and construction. Raw material will be imported from South Korea and China.
Zhandos Matayev, manager of techno park:
- We will achieve the best quality of material due to radiation processing and we will process cable products and rubble and technical goods, sterilize medical goods. It is used for ecologic purposes and electrons will be used in various spheres.
The management of techno park says the main goal of the project is to produce it for export to Russia as it has demand in it. Kazakhstani polymeric small parts are cheaper than Italian for example.
Abzal Kusaiynov, president of “Park of Nuclear Technologies” JSC:
- At present the techno park considers over 100 projects and in the nearest future we plan to organize production together with Russian and Ukrainian scientists. In particular, it is production of hard blocks of detecting for fluorography equipment for “Aktobe-Rentgen” and organize production of brake hoses for railway transport.
It will be able to produce about 500 000 square meters of special materials every year due to atom-smashers. After the complex comes into its force, it will be able to produce goods for 360 millions tenge of income. Currently the management of the park works on creating of favorable conditions for exporting and reducing of taxes. Also the park plans to create special economic zone.
