International Pediatric Congress opens

Manama, Feb. 28(BNA): The second edition of the International Pediatric Medical Congress got underway today at the Art Rotana Hotel in Amwaj. The Arabian Gulf University (AGU) is organising the three-day conference, which will run until Saturday (March 2). AGU President Dr. Khalid bin Abdulrahman Ohali opened the event.
Supreme Council for Health (SCH) President Lieutenant-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa is patronizing the congress, which focuses on legislations and laws related to medical profession, pediatric training programmes, and the psychological and physical exhaustion of practitioners
AGU President Dr. Ohali said 50 academic professors and consultant doctors from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) will present scientific papers, focuses on various branches of pediatrics. "The conference aims to highlight the latest pediatric methods in order to achieve the highest levels of health care for the new generations to serve the development and progress of the Gulf Arabian society", he said.
In a statement to Bahrain News Agency (BNA), Dr. Ohali that the second International Pediatric Medical Congress has attracted more participants from different countries in the world, compared with the 2017 edition. The medical conference features 50 scientific lectures, 9 discussion sessions, 6 specialised sessions. The participants will also be granted 24 hours of continued medical education, accredited by the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA).
