Iranian researchers design brain stimulator device

Tehran, Oct 31, IRNA – The researchers of Amirkabir University of Technology in partnership with Cognitive Sciences and Technologies Council designed brain stimulator device to cure Parkinson, Alzheimer's and depression. The advisor of the project Farzad Tohid Khah said that the brain stimulator device has been used in clinical treatment and cognitive researches. He referred to the extended activities of Amirkabir University of Technology's researchers on stimulating the brain, saying that the theoretical simulation of the effects of brain's streams has been defined in several theses at the same time with implementation of the project. He added that two samples of the device which are capable of producing alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC). He noted that the device has already been designed in Spain, Germany and the US, but the Iranian version can be connected to computer. 1378/IRNA
