Kazakh opera "Alpamys" to be staged in Baku

Baku, April 29 (AzerTAc). The premiere of "Alpamys" opera by a prominent Kazakh composer, Professor Yerkegali Rakhmadiyev will be staged in Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre on May 5. The premiere will take place within the TURKSOY project to promote the best opera composers of Turkic-speaking states. Yerkegali Rakhmadiyev, who headed the Kazakh State Conservatory for many years, was the chairman of the Kazakh Composers` Union and the Culture Minister of the Republic. Honored artist of Azerbaijan Inara Babayeva, Farida Mammadova, Sabina Vahabzade and Anton Fershtandt, Ilaha Efendieva, Farid Aliyev, Tural Agasiev and Talat Huseynov will be starring in the opera. Eyyub Guliyev will conduct the performance.
