Kyrgyzstan reports 96 new COVID-19 cases

Bishkek, Oct. 25, 2021 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan registered 96 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, raising the national count to 180,563, the Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19 said. The number of recoveries has climbed to 175,061 after 54 patients were reported to have cured of the disease in the past day. Currently, 689 patients are receiving treatment in hospitals throughout the country and 653 patients - at home. The headquarters said 3 more deaths were reported, bringing the national death toll to 2,653. Kyrgyzstan launched a nationwide vaccination campaign on March 29 after the arrival of China donated Sinopharm vaccine. The Central Asian country also carries vaccination with the Russian Sputnik-V and Astra Zeneca vaccines, which were delivered as humanitarian aid. So far, 943,627 doses of vaccine have been administered in the country, according to the headquarters.
