Rome hosts Azerbaijani Culture Night

Baku, April 24 (AzerTAc). A night of Azerbaijani Culture has been held at Sapienza University of Rome, one of the largest universities in Europe. Organized by the Azerbaijani-Italian Youth Association and Tevere Institute, the event was attended by Turkish Ambassador to Vatican Kenan Gursoy and his spouse Belkis Gursoy, as well as professors and students. Opening the event, Sapienza University Professor Antonello Biagini stressed the importance of relations between Azerbaijan and Italy. Authors of La Repubblica democratica dell' Azerbaijan (1918-1920) i documenti militari italiani” book Daniel Pommier Vincelli and Andrea Carteny highlighted Azerbaijani culture in their remarks. Member of the Azerbaijani-Italian Youth Association, representative of ASAIF in Italy Leyla Abishova provided an insight into activities of the Association and ASAIF Forum in Rome. Director of Tevere Institute Cenap Aydin stressed the importance of intercultural dialogue.
