SSAC anniversary conference interesting for foreign guests

Baku, November 24 (AzerTAc). As already reported, the State Students Admission Commission (SSAC) of Azerbaijan held an event dedicated to the 20th anniversary of its activities. SSAC chairperson Maleyka Abbaszade says that for the past 20 years the Commission improved the system of admission of students. "Over these years we have completely computerized the system, thus eliminating the effect of subjective factors on the process of university entrance exams of the country. SSAC is one of the first state institutions of Azerbaijan which introduced e-services. Today, on the basis of e-applications, we provide not only the reception of secondary school graduates, but also graduates who wish to obtain a master’s degree. Since this year the SSAC powers were still expanded and for the first time we conducted centralized final exams in secondary schools and monitoring of school textbooks. This is a very complex process that requires careful consideration and a great responsibility," she said. Speaking at the ceremony, Elmar Gasimov, the rector of the Baku Oil High School noted that the proof of the effectiveness and transparency of SSAC work is country’s great demand for tutors. "Parents believe that their children can enter college due to their knowledge and that is why massively apply to tutoring services, and this is an indication of the reliability and transparency of the system of admission of students of the State Commission," he emphasized.
