SIU, US Embassy discuss cooperation

Manama, Mar. 14 (BNA): Acting Advocate General, Head of the Special Investigation Unit (SIU), Mohammed Khalid Al-Hazza, received here today the Deputy Chief of Mission at the US Embassy in Bahrain, David Brownstein, in the presence of the Embassy member, Solmaz Sharifi.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the role played by the Special Investigation Unit, along with other national mechanisms and institutions, in protecting human rights in the criminal justice system.

They also discussed ways to enhance cooperation between them.
