Speaker affirms depth of Bahraini-Omani relations

Manama, Mar. 13 (BNA): Speaker of the Council of Representatives, President of the 146th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam, received here today the Chairman of Oman’s Shura Council, Shaikh Khalid bin Hilal Al-Maawali, and his accompanying delegation, who are participating in the 146th IPU Assembly, currently held at the Exhibition World Bahrain.

The two sides affirmed the depth of the long-standing solid fraternal relations and cooperation between the two countries, which are progressing steadily thanks to the ongoing care of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman.

Oman’s Shura Council Chairman commended the kingdom’s honourable successful hosting of the 146th IPU Assembly, noting that the success is a source of pride for all GCC and Arab citizens.
