Speaker of Kyrgyz Parliament lays wreath at Monument to Defenders of Fatherland in Astana

Bishkek, June 26, 2023. / Kabar/. Today, June 26, the official visit of Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Nurlanbek Shakiev to the Republic of Kazakhstan began with the laying of a wreath at the Monument to the Defenders of the Fatherland in Astana, the press service of the Parliament reported.

The monument to the defenders of the Fatherland, symbolizing the unity of all nations living in Kazakhstan, was opened in 2001.

The parliamentary delegation headed by Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Nurlanbek Shakiev, at the invitation of Chairman of the Senate of the Republic of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbaev, arrived in Kazakhstan for official visit.

As part of the official visit, Nurlanbek Shakiev is expected to meet with President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. He will also hold bilateral meetings with Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament Maulen Ashimbaev and Chairman of the Mazhilis Yerlan Koshanov.

The delegation of the Jogorku Kenesh includes deputies Kunduzbek Sulaimanov, Daniyar Tolonov, Bakyt Tentishev, Bakhridin Shabazov, Nurlan Razhabaliev, Nilufar Alimzhanova, Gulsharkan Kultaeva and Emil Toktoshev.
