2022 Asian U-23 Qualifiers: Qatar National Team Coach Expresses Happiness with Qualifying for the Finals

Doha, November 01 (QNA) - Qatar Olympic football team coach, Nicolas Cordova, expressed his happiness with his team's qualification for the finals of the Asian Nations Cup under-23 after a 1-1 draw with the Syrian team in the third round of the first group qualifiers. Cordova said during the press conference held after the end of the match: "I mentioned it a lot before, Facing the Syrian national team will be very difficult, and what I expected happened, we really struggled but in the end we managed to achieve what we set out to do, which is to qualify for the Asian Cup". Cordova stressed that qualifying for the Asian Cup is a great responsibility: "We have to start early in preparing for the finals, especially since the competitions will be held in a different atmosphere which requires more preparation for a distinguished appearance" said Cordova.
