AFC and West Asian Futsal Cup draws announced

Manama, May26 (BNA): Bahrain Futsal National Team has been drawn up in Group B of the Asian Futsal Cup 2022, which will be held in the State of Kuwait in September. Asian Football Confederation (AFC) held the remote draw, which put Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan in the same group with Bahrain. The top two teams of the four teams will book a berth in the AFC Futsal Cup – Kuwait 2022. Bahrain has been drawn up in Group B of the West Asian Futsal Championship, scheduled to be held in Kuwait in June. The national squad will be playing Oman, Lebanon and the United Arab Emirates. The top two teams of the both groups will book a spot in the cup semi-finals. The national team clinched the bronce medal in the third Gulf Games, recently held in Kuwait. Bahrain will be playing in Group A of the West Asian Women’s Futsal Championship in Saudi Arabia. The national team has been drawn up with Palestine, Iraq and the UAE. Led by coach Lino, the national women’s team bagged the gold medal in the 3rd Gulf Games.
