AFC Champions League 2021: Al Sadd Defeat Al Wehdat 3-1 to Take First Win
Riyadh, April 20 (QNA) - Al Sadd Club, achieved their first victory today, 3 to one, at the expense of , Al-Wehdat, at King Fahad International Stadium in Riyadh, in the third round of the fourth group competitions in the continental competition.
Baghdad Bounajah scored in the second minute, Boualam Khokhi in the 9th minute, and Hassan Al Haydous in the 26th minute Al Sadd's goals, while Ahmed Samir scored the only goal in the minute (63 from a penalty kick).
Al Nassr maintained the top of the group standings with f points from three matches, on goal difference against Foolad Khuzestan, compared to four points for Al Sadd and a point for Al Wehdat.
Al Sadd started the match strongly to score the goal in the second minute, after a corner kick by Santi Cazorla and Boualem Khokhi followed it with his head on the near post, to reach Baghdad Bongah to turn it into the net.
Al Sadd continued to form the risk of corner kicks, to score the second goal in the 9th minute, after a corner kick was executed by Cazorla and reached Boualem Khokhi, who turned his head directly to the right of goalkeeper Ahmed Abdel Sattar.
Al-Sadd almost added the third goal when Hassan Al Haydous prepared the ball in front of Cazorla inside the area to hit an attempt that rebounded from the left post of the goal (11).
After the shock of the beginning, the units' performance began to improve, and he tried to launch offensive attempts on goalkeeper Meshaal Barshim, and the most prominent attempt was through Ahmed Samir's shot from inside the area, which passed over the goal in the 21st minute.

The fourth round of Group D will be held next Friday, where Al-Wehdat will meet Al-Sadd, and Al-Nassr will meet with Foolad Khuzestan.
Last Wednesday, the first round saw Al-Wehdat tied with Al-Nasr 0-0 and Al-Sadd with Foolad Khuzestan 1-1, while last Saturday the second round witnessed Al-Nassr victory over Al-Sadd 3-1 and Foolad over Al Wehdat 1-0.(QNA)
