AFC Champions League: Attacking Potency the Key for Suwon Samsung Bluewings Against Vissel Kobe

Doha, December 04 (QNA) - The job may have been done in terms of qualification to the Round of 16 for Vissel Kobe but for Suwon Samsung Bluewings, it is all to play for on Matchday Six of Group G of the 2020 AFC Champions League.
Sitting in third place, the Korea Republic side need to win by a two-goal margin to overtake Guangzhou Evergrande, who are in second place on five points with a goal difference of zero, having drawn both games together.
Vissel Kobe and Suwon Samsung Bluewings met back in February and with the score tied at 0-0, Kyogo Furuhashis extremely late effort gave the J1 League side the win at Suwon World Cup Stadium.
"This match against Vissel Kobe is going to be the last match of the group and will be very important. We know we need to win by two goals, but although the goals are important, not conceding is equally important. Also, the timing of scoring is key, we need to score early on to give ourselves more time to score again," said Suwon head coach Pak Kun-ha.
"It is true that we only scored one in our last two games, but it is not important, because we created so many chances especially in the last match. "We will send the players onto the pitch with trust in them and confidence that they can create chances and score more than one," added Pak.
Two-time Asian Club Championship winners Suwon are aiming to match or exceed their 2018 and 2011 feats of reaching the semi-finals, and maybe go further but all ambitions rest on their ability to score at least twice in the next 90 minutes, having only scored once in their previous 270 minutes of 2020 AFC Champions League action.
Atsuhiro Miura's side, on the other hand, secured qualification and the top spot with wins against their other two opponents early on and are set to face Group H runners-up Shanghai SIPG in the Round of 16.
"Yes, we are through to the next stage and we have to assess the condition of our players, so maybe we will make some changes. The Round of 16 game comes after just three days, so I want to try some combinations and different tactics on the pitch and our analysts are already working on analysing our next opponents, Shanghai SIPG," said Miura.
