AFC Praises Doha's Success in Hosting the AFC Champions League

Kuala Lumpur, December 30 (QNA) - The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) praised the success of the AFC Champions League (East) that recently concluded in Qatar. The AFC praised the organization of the competition, saying it provided great protection to everyone who took part in the game, thanks to implementing the highest medical standards. The footballing body added in a report published on its website that Asian football overcame the challenges posed by the pandemic since March with decisions that were crowned with holding the final in Doha in front of fans. AFC President Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa praised Qatar Football Association (QFA) and the Qatari government for hosting the competition. He also paid tribute to medical teams in Qatar for their efforts. (QNA)
