Al Arabi and Al Sadd Win in Basketball League

Doha, November 18 (QNA) - Al Arabi and Al Sadd teams achieved two important victories this evening after defeating Qatar SC and Al Wakrah, respectively at the end of the second round of the Qatar Men's Basketball League. Al Arabi scored a big victory over Qatar SC (106-65), Qatar SC player Mohamed Abdelaziz, was best scorer in the match with 21 points. In the second match, Al Sadd won a difficult victory from Al Wakrah, with a score of (87-79), Al Sadd player Babakar Deng, was the best scorer in the match with 35 points. Al Arabi topped the overall standings with four points, with goals difference from Al Sadd, which ranked second with the same balance of points, while Al Arabi and Al Wakrah came in the third and fourth places, respectively, with three points each. Al Gharafa, Al Ahli, Al Rayyan, Al Khor and Qatar SC ranked from the fifth to the ninth, respectively, with two points each. The third round matches are scheduled to start next Saturday with Al Gharafa against Al Ahli, and Al Rayyan with Al Khor matches, and conclude next Sunday with Al Shamal against Al Wakrah, and Al Arabi against Al Sadd matches.
