Al Arabi SC Qualifies for the 11th Asian Club Volleyball Championship Final

Bangkok, October 14 (QNA) - Al Arabi Sports Club produced a magnificent come-from-behind 3-2 (15-25, 25-15, 15-25, 28-26, 15-9) victory against Kazakhstan's Burevestnik Almaty to advance to the final showdown of the 2021 Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship at Terminal 21 Hall on Thursday, vying for their second title in five editions.
The tournament hosted in the Thai city of Nakhon Ratchasima until October 15, with the participation of 10 clubs divided into two groups.
With their victory today, Al Arabi qualifies for the championship final for the fifth time in its history, as they previously won the Asian Championship title in 2012, and won the silver medal three times in 2010, 2015 and 2016, and the bronze medal three times also in 2007, 2009 and 2017.
Al Arabi made their way to the semi-finals when they finished second in the second group with nine points, played four matches, winning three of them and losing one match.
Al Arabi beat the Uzbek Ajamak team, the Philippine team Rebisco, and the Thai team Diamond Food, in return for a single loss against the Iranian team Foolad Sirjan, which topped the second group standings with 12 points with a full score. (QNA)
